What are the characteristics of a dominator model for a society?

In a denominator society, history is told from the perspective of the conqueror rather than from the perspective of the common people (Zimm Chap 1). In a dominator model, domination is a natural and inevitable process that results to a better society for everyone. Such a society accepts atrocities as a deplorable but a necessary price that societies must pay for progress (Takaki 29). Eisler (12) posits that a dominator society ranks one group over the other such as one religion over another, men over women, one race over the other. A top down authoritarian approach manifests a denominator society. The system subordinates one-half of humanity such as women and attributes that are feminine including caring, care giving, non-violence both in the state and in family.
