I haven't used any online storage application or cloud storage as of yet. However, I have recently thought about trying it out. I prefer to do most of my work at my desktop, but at times I do use a small Netbook in classes and I move/save files with a thumb drive. I have found that it gets a bit inconvenient trying to keep documents up to date with changes made, especially with term papers. And of course there are those times when that thumb drive gets misplaced around the house or dropped behind the seat of my truck.

I can see how convenient it could be. Pull my documents out of the clouds, and it would be the same one used from my different locations. Able to show my pictures to anyone from anywhere (the big fish that got away). And no lost thumb drive. So I suppose I'll try and use the Blackboard's Content System. For just my class work projects.

I of course have my reservations about what I would store in the clouds. Security issues with my private personal information, documents, and pictures hanging out somewhere in the “clouds”. Also, what to do when the powers out or internet is down, technical issues, etc... Or the fear of your stuff just “Lost-in-space”. So, back to where you started, keeping a backup of your stuff. And if that’s the case, why even store in the cloud? I'll just have to learn to be more responsible with my thumb drive.
