Personal impact: book tells me the step and the ways to manage people. Drucker teaches me it is also important to train and develop people to fit the job.

• Differentiate the four trade-off (取舍) strategies: differentiation, low cost, focused low cost, focused differentiation.

A low-cost leader: can gain significant market share enabling it to produce a more powerful position relative to both suppliers and competitors.

Focused low cost: narrowly focused market strategy.

Differentiation: Marketing a unique product to a broad-based market. Price is not the significant factor.

Focused Differentiation: Unique product and a unique market.
