This holiday season, beloved singers Gene Autry, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby are the subjects of a musical tribute by award-winning Indie artist Luanne Hunt. Her song, "The Hosts of Christmas Past," celebrates these golden voices of Christmas and their timeless, yuletide tunes. Hunt, who scored a No. 1 single on the European Country Music Association chart for "Christmas Without You," said no one is more deserving of a musical nod than Autry, Ives, Cole and Crosby. "Christmas just wouldn't be the same without 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,' 'White Christmas,' 'The Christmas Song' and 'Frosty the Snowman,'" said Hunt, who records on the Star Creek Entertainment label. "Gene, Burl, Nat and Bing left a legacy that will continue to affect generation after generation. I'm really surprised a song hasn't already been written about them and their incredible contributions to the music world." Hunt is the sole writer of "The Hosts of Christmas Past" but thanks her husband Steve for suggesting the subject matter of the song. She also credits her talented and acclaimed musicians for creating a lush backdrop for the folksy tune.
