Introduction:

-Present in more than 30 countries

During my visit at the Carrefour Market, I noticed that supermarket customers find a friendly staff and the Carrefour store has modern features.

The layout modernizes the retailer's image and makes it easier for customers to navigate the store and understand the product displays. Lastly, customer loyalty is better rewarded.

Customers can now take advantage of their Carrefour Card benefits throughout the network – in supermarkets, hypermarkets and even in Carrefour Contact and Carrefour City convenience stores. The Carrefour market we visited had diverse products, a convenient location and relatively low price

I had the feeling they were committed. It is nice to see that they are providing good value for customers. They are caring towards their customers. They are receptive to customers needs. They try to receive you in the Carrefour store with kindness, warmth and attention to detail. I feel that Carrefour is establishing competitive advantage from delivering superior value to customers.

Ethical practices:

Carrefour has for many years addressed social and environmental issues. In 1992 Carrefour launched its "Quality Lines", food products which integrate environmental and social criteria in their specifications.

In 1997 Carrefour launched its own-brand organic range.

In 2000 Carrefour developed its supplier social charter in partnership with the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH).

In 2001 Carrefour joined the UN Global Compact and also signed an international protocol with the trade union body UNI Network International.

Following the merger with “Promodes” the Group created in 2001 a dedicated service at Group level to promote best practices across the Group and to anticipate future issues....
