Intake Officer | The Central Intake Officer conducts intake interviews, gathers case information and makes recommendations about case management. The CIO is on call to determine whether youth brought to the Polk County Juvenile Central Intake Center will be detained. The CIO also supervises youth on Informal Adjustment agreements, refers youth and families for services and manages Interstate Compact cases. Rotating shifts for on-call duty include evenings, weekends and holidays. | erPersonal integrity and emotional maturity. Ability to communicate effectively, efficiently and build report. Strong writing skills and ability to effectively analyze and write reports including typing and computer skills. Then generates a recommended intake decision. This requires the ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate course of action. |
