Welcome all to our presentation today on workplace stress and stress management. Stress is a very prevalent part of life as well as the world of business. Stress in its variations deal directly with the mind, emotions, and physical conditions of the body’s function. Stress management is the aide and guidance to reduce stress and explains why stress is dangerous. Stress delays the body and minds productivity so learning stress management skills is important. Stress management is an adaptable concept to learn and will help individuals overall dealing with their personal lives and dealing with roadblocks our team may incur.

Stress is everywhere and everyone deals with stress. The issue is how does stress affect an individual? How does their stress at work carry into the home environment? And how does their stress affect everyone here and our overall productivity? Is this topic interesting? It’s elementary that everyone has feelings, emotions, and mental blocks sometimes. The benefit of knowing and paying attention to this issue is figuring out how to deal with the issue.

There are two types of stress; good stress and bad stress. “Good stress” is when healthy pressures cause productivity, motivation, creativity, consistency, and encourages healthy work relationships and patterns, while negative or “bad stress” causes frustration and unnecessary tension. Stress is a regular factor of life and our focus is to prevent bad stressors. Creating positive stress should dominate over negative stress since we realize negative stress hinders creativity, productivity and causes the burden of pressure, worry, and uncertainty. Negative stress is dangerous. Negative stress causes negative emotions and slows down the ability to concentrate, focus, and be productive or creative.

The steps to being aware of negative stress and working purposefully to reduce it are known as stress management. Stress management can be incorporated casually into everyday life,...
