Big brand shoe companies such as Adidas and Reebok have always claimed that their product will make you a better athlete, or will make you better, faster, and stronger. Some claim that you will be able to do impossible things such as fly. The new AdiRose shoes by Adidas, endorsed by Derrick Rose, claim that they are designed for and will make you a MVP. Imagine putting on a pair of shoes, and having extra skill and talent flow through your veins. Chances are slim to none; I believe that they do not have the power to make you something that you are not unless you practice. Although, when I was nine I felt invincible wearing Nike shoes. The shoes could act as a placebo and make you think you are better than you really are. Contrary to these other companies, Nike has taken a different approach by claiming that their shoe works if you do. Nike is telling people that it is up to them to be fit and work out, but their shoe can help women attain that goal better than any other shoe; however, this shoe actually is just like any other shoe and it doesn’t matter what you wear to work out; there is no ultimate quick fix.

This particular Nike advertisement has the words “THE ULTIMATE QUICK FIX” printed in big bold letters at the top of its page. The background is white and a little wrinkly; a simple sheet of paper with shading on the top and bottom, the middle is bright white to make the shoes glow, which give it a three-dimensional look. Then, there is a picture of the sleek and stylish shoes right in the center of the advertisement. You can see both the Nike Swoosh and the words Nike on the shoes, which are black with lime green highlights on the bottom with the Nike Swoosh in white. The black and white color scheme adds lots of contrast with the white background to further catch the reader’s attention.
