Organization Intervention

When making changes to an organization Javier needs to make sure that these changes will align with the companies goals. On an organizational level Javier could face opposition from the Executives if the new programs do not match the core values. These programs could possibly not align with the core values which would cause the company to loose site of what they were founded on. From an individual stand point the employees could feel like the programs are just another way to control them which would cause them more likely to be against it. Also just like any other form of change people are used to how things are run and they want to continue to do things that way.

If Javier wants to implement programs he should do them in stages. First create awareness about the programs by stating that he is trying to get all of the employees to advance in their careers by offering additional training. He shouldn’t make the new training mandatory but he should explain the benefits of them. Next he should bring in an outside chief or someone who is well known and have them explain what the certifications means to them and why they would recommend them. And lastly he should create some type of rewards system for the employees that take the training to get the certifications.

In the end the consumers, the company, and the employee will benefit from these programs because employees will want to try harder to obtain the certifications. Adversely because they have become more knowledgeable about a subject it will need to higher quality because the employees will take more pride in their work. With the increase in quality the consumers will come back more to spend more money and even send friends and family. In the end the company will see an increase in revenue because of the increase in sales off of the higher quality.
