For each of three developmental domains: physical, cognitive, and social/personality, identify two major changes or challenges associated with that developmental stage (adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood).

Stage of Development | Physical Development | Cognitive Development | Social/Personality Development |

Adolescence | Both male and female experience significant changes in their bodies from hormone changes, like growth and sexual organs development. | Logical cognitive assessment becomes possible during this stage. Most adolescents become cognitively egocentric and feel that they differ from others in many ways, demanding privacy and feeling insecure. | Most adolescents work to free themselves from parental control. This often results in conflict since they act out emotionally against the parents that have taught those values they now hold. High risk behaviors hold interest for teens at this stage. |

Young Adulthood | The body is at its peak physically. It has high endurance and stamina levels. | Cognitive processes peak during this stage. This creates a false sense that the individual knows best even when experience dictates otherwise. | This stage the individual is striving to find their direction and to determine their best partners. Self identity is being redefined. Marriage procreation and career issues all surface during this time. |

Middle Adulthood | We begin to lose high levels of energy from the younger age. This differs if you eat healthy and nutritious, then the body stays energetic. Menopause transition for both men and women. | This is the fluid intelligence where mental fallibility of learning and solving things in new areas of endeavor. | This is the stage of understanding and knowing what you may want, and nothing else matters or can stand in the way of their career. This is the stage where one may settle down with family and life. |
