The effects of population density and noise paper

Society has taken the extent of their own personal space to be something of significance more than people did back in the 1960’s. A person may want to take a relaxing drive on a nice Sunday afternoon in the country and see some particular scenery that they would not usually see, however, it may be a bit unfamiliar than they would remember many years ago. They would not have seen the signs that say, “No Trespassing” or “Private Property”. In fact, people may find it offensive to have signs such as the “No Trespassing” or “Private Property”. Society has become more stressful for countless reasons, such as work and school or having kids at a young age. Many situations that people go through everyday need more privacy in today’s world.

According to the Webster dictionary the word privacy is the state of being free from public attention. To a child this could mean simply playing with their toys in their own bedroom away from siblings or other children. To a teenager this could mean listening to music in their own bedroom, away from parents or younger annoying siblings. In today’s world a person can be in the essence of their own privacy or space just being behind a computer chatting with people because they are considered to be physically away from others. (Clayton & Myers, 2009)

When speaking about married couples having their own privacy and space this could be hard for some to have. For example, if a married couple has a lot of friends who come over and hang out, the friends could be invading their space and can cause a marriage to be affected without the friends even knowing this is taking place.
