The Constitution and the Great Compromise

What is the Declaration of Independence? The Declaration of Independence is a political statement written by Thomas Jefferson. The Declarations of Independence the turning point of our country’s breaking point of the harshness bestowed upon our people. It was our country’s representation of the thirteen colonies outcry to the British King of the intolerable cruelty the American colonists were getting from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence stated grievances against the British colonial policy. What is the Constitution? The Constitution was created after American colonist had won their freedom. It was created so the government would be chosen by the people and ran by the people of our new nation. The Constitution is the supreme law in America. All the laws created in the United States are made from the Constitution. The Constitution provides structure and order for our government. What is the Article of Confederation? The Article of Confederation is an agreement written up to serve the purpose of the Constitution. The Articles of Confederation provides basic government to the colonies after they won their freedom from Great Britain. What is the Great Compromise? The Great Compromise was a decision made by the United States Constitutional Convention to have Congress made into two chambers.

The Constitution and Declaration of Independence

The Constitution addresses the Declaration of Independence in many ways. After all the Constitution was written after the Declaration of Independence once the thirteen colonies won the war and are now declared an independent nation from Great Britain.
