OVERVIEW

THE FRAMEWORK This 10-week course will teach you how to use large amounts of data to make critical business decisions. This course was created for digital marketers, sales manager, analysts and anyone else looking to learn the essentials of data analysis. You’ll practice collecting, cleaning and analyzing data using Excel and SQL. Additionally, you will be able to create data dashboards and various data visualizations to communicate insights. This course will culminate in a presentation of your data analysis and insights to your classmates and instructional team. By the end of the course, you will be able to:

Practice using large data sets to make critical business decisions by collecting, cleaning and analyzing data. Use industry standard tools, Excel and SQL, to perform a variety of analytics. Create dashboards and presentations to communicate and defend data driven data analysis.

PRODUCT MANAGERS

This course provides product managers with the ability to effectively utilize data about their products to improve their product’s performance. For example, a product manager will be able to utilize analytics to determine the business activities that need to be completed to get customers to “buy” your product/feature. This course enables sales managers to effectively define sales strategies based on previous performances. For example, sales managers will be able to segment potential customer and determine customized strategies for each customer segments. This course enables digital marketers to utilize data about past marketing campaigns to create more effective campaigns. For example, a digital marketer will be able to segment potential customers to create targeted email or social media campaigns.
