Introduction

Prefatory

At Presidency University, students are required to complete an Internship Program to achieve the BBA degree. The primary goal of internship is to provide an on-the-job exposure to students and an opportunity for relating theoretical concepts to real-life situations. The program includes Three Months of organizational attachment. Students are required to prepare and submit an internship report in that period. This report has been prepared to comply with that requirement.

Background of the study

I have joined Dhaka Bank Ltd. as an intern on January 01, 2012. It is required to prepare a report on the experiences of the three months internship period. I have decided to prepare my report on “Credit Facilities of Commercial Bank- A Case Study on Dhaka Bank Limited” This report has been prepared based on my practical experiences and knowledge.

Objective of the study

Every Study has some Objectives of the study. This Study has been undertaken with the following Objectives:

➢ To analyze and evaluate the Credit Facilities Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL).

➢ To have a clear idea about the various credit facilities provided by Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL).

➢ To acquire knowledge about the procedure and terms & condition to providing credit facilities of Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL).

➢ To get an overall idea about the credit related information of Dhaka Bank Ltd.

Limitation

o Obtaining Relevant papers and documents were strictly prohibited.

o Many procedural matters are conducted directly in the operations by the top management level, which also had some sort of restrictions.

o Dhaka Bank is in a transition period. So it is very difficult to make numerical comparison with other banks.

o Time constraint was another limitation restricting this report from being more detailed or analytical. The executive bodies of the concerned department are awfully busy with...
