The problem is that Amelia team has been prescreening some of the athletes her company has been looking at for many of the campaigns. During her investigation she found out that one of the athletes who has a huge fan following and who the client wants to be a part of the promotional program could be taking some type of steroids. Amelia’s colleague thinks she it just imagining things.

The condition on this is that if she does not sign the athlete in 24 hours, their future relationship would be at risk depending on if they get the athlete or not. Amelia’s team does not share her concerns. Her colleagues want to override her take on the situation and another threatens to sign the athlete if she doesn’t.

Secondly, the Athlete might be taking illegal drugs and that can affect the images of both the client and PROScout if disclosed over the media (Robbins, & Judge, 2013). The relationship with the client is at risk if they don’t sign this particular athlete.

If I were Kelly, I would have to ask Amelia the following questions in order to clarify the understanding the following questions; was it proven that the athlete takes steroids? How did she make her investigation on the athlete? Is it possible to organize a meeting or phone call interview with the agent so she can build her own opinion on the subject? All of these questions would give me a better understanding of the situation.

Amalie has to sign a client before she loses him to another coworker. But in order to do so she has to be really sure that this athlete is not taking any substance Her goal is to please the client that wants the athlete. The most important goal is to make sure Amalie gets the right facts before she comes to a final conclusion. The most important goal is to find out if the athlete is using drugs.
