How to Write a One-Page Project Overview
Before you begin any project or research paper, you will find it helpful to create a Project Overview. Think of it as your flight plan or road map; it helps you determine where you want to go, what you want to find out, and how you are going to get to your destination. A Project Overview can be used to plan a tech project; to write an essay; to prepare a research paper; to conduct a science experiment. It’s a good tool to help you organize your thoughts and ideas.
What does it have to include?
It must have four (4) parts:
□ the Topic;
□ the Research Question(s) you are trying to answer on the topic;
□ the Method and Resources you will use to find information leading toward the answer;
□ the Product - What your project will look like (this helps the person evaluating the work know what to look for). Each one can be its own paragraph.
