OVERVIEW OF TERMINAL AUTOMATION SYSTEM

PREAMBLE

I am pleased to release the manual for Benzene Gantry automation prepared by Engineering/Operations Department which comprises the procedures for operating in Terminal Automation System.

The manual gives the overview of the various sections of operating station of the TAS, related to planning, filling and tank farm operations. The contents are expected to have a clear understanding of these procedures and modules and make the usage of OIC (Operator Interface Console) user friendly.

I take this opportunity to thank all those who have contributed to this manual.

EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN

The ESD can be given from the in charge room, security, pump house, control room, gantry and HMI i.e. the OICs. The ESD given from a specific location closes the operations at different places as shown in the figure below.

“ ESD OPERATIONS ”

When ESD is pressed, the operations stop according to the place at which ESD is given. A pop-up of ESD appears on the station screens. To RESET the ESD following procedure is followed:

Release the ESD.

Click INDEX page, click on” EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN

It shows where ESD is pressed that point is” RED” shows

Then Click the “Oper” above screen open that is “Station Login”

Station login screen entered password i.e. “mngr” then ok

Click on MASTER RESET Button it can message shows

“Do You Want to Reset” then click on “YES?”

Operation will be normal

In ESD Pressed following Operations are operates.

1. Both Barrier Entry & Exit Gate are opened

2. Pumps are stop

3. Oulet MOV’s closed

4. Loading is stop...
