Steve Hunt (2013) states, “in terms of candidate sourcing and attraction, the most important aspect of culture is the degree to which common practices and beliefs in your company are perceived as unique and similar to the beliefs and preferences of candidates” (para.3). When identifying the ideal work culture, Ineed one that will help in maximizing my competencies and I have a future with. After completing the work culture preference assessment, Ifound that I greatly benefit from high powered, leadership intensive, and supportivework culture. I need an organization that challenging, has the opportunity for leadership, and clearly has defined jobs, goals, and expectations. These aspects of a work cultureadequately will helpme in developing long-term and short-term plans which willhelp me attain organizational goals.

To conduct a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis I must utilize my areas of expertise. The SWOT analysis “is one of the cornerstone analytical tools to help an organization develop a preferred future. My area of expertise is research and I believethis competency is vital as it aids in learning from failures and successes, in addition to obtaining staff and customer feedback.
