construction. Lockline supplies building materials including geotextiles, rail, utility, highway and drainage
solutions throughout the UK with a network of branches nationwide.

Proposal for Written Communication Skills Training
Dear Branch and Sector Managers,
Please find below a proposal for additional staff training within Lockline.
At Lockline, we believe that the our employees are the company’s best asset and they should receive the
support and assistance required to improve and develop within the company.
It has become apparent through intensive research carried out by the Human Resource department, that
employees at Lockline could benefit from some additional training, in particular, Written Communication
Skills. The research carried out by HR included random email checks from various employees to both
internal and external recipients. One example of a poorly written email included unprofessional and informal
communication from a Lockline employee to a valued supplier. Another example included a quote to a new
account holder (customer) excluding a product specification document but including
the original email feed
