Social Initiatives Implementation Plan

Introduction

ABC Company should to be more proactive in its social initiatives responsibility. The company need to work harder towards implementing water stewardship and becoming more environmental friendly. Vital environmental concerns affecting businesses consist of sustainable expansion of raw materials, industrial waste, and water and air emissions. These concerns affect companies because regulations require industries to modify equipment and processes to meet enforced standards, which is very costly for businesses. There is a necessity to implement an effective social initiative and to introduce sustainable packaging to manufacture and consumers. Some recommendations will be required to achieve proper social initiatives, which includes implementation of a strategy, development of a system to measure, monitor, and evaluate the outcome as needed.

Recommended Social Initiative(S)

ABC company’s social initiative must be in line with a "...sustainability strategy with business strategy" and integrate "sustainability into operations and processes across the value chain" (Green Savings Company, 2012, p. 1). The social initiative recommendations is implemented for Coca Cola Company is to present to their production and to the consumers. The objectives of the initiatives is to promote environmental stewardship by recycling wastewater, and replenishing the water we use. The internal and external stakeholders that would be impacted by the initiative is the president of sustainability. The advantage of this stakeholder is that it is geared to achieve corporate accountability goals by recycling wastewater. Recognition would be another benefit of accomplishing the goal.
