One of my favorite product designs is the Temptu Airbrush Makeup System 2.0. The Temptu 2.0 system allows for professional airbrush make up sessions at the convenience of your own home. The base of the system is a dual-voltage box that delivers sheer coverage of the “Airpod” makeup through a pumping mechanism. Each “Airpod” contains make up coverage of some type such as Foundation, Blush, Bronzer, and Highlighter. For more information, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FQiLxb6ytk.

As the name “2.0’’ suggests, this is the second version of the Temptu System and arguably the “Most Improved Design”. The best improvement lies with the design of the “Airpod” itself. In previous versions, the “Airpod” had issues with maintaining the freshness and shelf life of the makeup, which caused clogging issues. The remediation Temptu had to offer at the time was a tiny stick to break up any dried makeup in the port of the pod, but the stick wasn’t long enough and I kept losing it. In “2.0”, Temptu finally got it right and added a cap to cover the port where the make up is pulled from. This design change now extends the life of the make up by months and, also extends the life of the box as it does not have to work so hard to pump dried make up.

Another major design improvement is the compartmentalization of the system. In prior versions, the system came together as one full and completely attached product. The problem with this design is that when one part breaks in the system, I had to replace the entire system. At $125, that’s gut wrenching! In the successor system, each part is detachable. When the “Flex Airhose” (the tube that feeds from the “Airpod”) tears from constant use, I can just call for a replacement, valued at $10, and keep the remaining operational parts. Connecting the system...
