(Romans 1-8)

Romans is the book that one would want to turn too is they wanted to know about God; who God is and what His vast accomplishments are. We also learn about His son, Jesus Christ and what was accomplished with His death. We learn what we, as sinners, were like before the sacrifice of Christ Jesus and what we have become after trusting in Him. Paul points out that God did not demand men have their lives straightened out before coming to Christ. While we were still sinners Christ died on a cross for our sin. It is here in Romans 1-8 that the fundamentals and foundations of the Christian faith are explained (Smith). The most basic of salvation verses which reads: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23)” is found within these chapters. We are here to make a difference, not only in our lives, but to those around us, while we apply the Word of God to our lives. If we remain the same, even though we have been taught and understand what is written, we are not accomplishing our purpose in life.

We must recognize God’s work in everything and acknowledge Him in all we behold. However, while recognizing this beauty, we must turn our worship and our hearts to the glory and worship of God and all that He has created. We must take...
