1. Shopping for software. You are shopping that will assist you with your home’s interior design. The package for the program you would like to purchase states that is was design for the most recent version of Windows, but an older version is still installed on your computer. How can you determine whether the program will run on your computer?

Ans: When you buy a software, the software box or products website will list specifications and minimum requirements for memory, speed, and more. Your computer specifications should be the same as or greater than the software specifications.

2. Define Phishing. What are some safe browsing technique?

Ans: Phishing is a scam in which a perpetrator sends an official looking email message that attempt to obtain your personal and or financial information. The different ways to safe browsing are, Verify the website is safe, Clear your browsing history, Use a phishing filter, Enable pop- blocker and Browse anonymously.

4. What typing options are available on smartphones? Differentiate between predictive text input and a swipe keyboard.

Ans: The different keyboard are, On screen keyboards, Swipe keyboards, Mini Keyboard, Keypad, Slide out keyboard, Portable keyboards, Virtual keyboards.

The different between the predictive text input and the swipe keyboard, is the predictive text is when you press one key on the keyboard or keypad for each letter in a word and the software on the phone predicts the word you want. And on a swipe keyboard is where users enter words by tracing a path on an on-screen keyboard with their fingertips or stylus from one letter to the next in a continuous motion.

5. List some security tools you can use to protect your computers and mobile devices. What is a personal firewall?

Ans: To protect your computer and mobile device you can use these tools, Personal firewall, Antivirus...
