Smoking cigarettes is known to be very harmful and dangerous to the human body. It is known to be the number one cause of; Lung Cancer, Bronchitis, Emphysema, and Heart Disease. There are several other known facts about the harm of cigarette smoking. It affects the human’s body appearance, and function. It is also known to cause complications during pregnancy, and birth defects.

The Philip Morris executives argue that they are business men running a company that sales cigarettes. They are aware of the cause and effect of their product. However, they argue that there has not been enough research done to say that cigarettes are the number one cause of these diseases. They also argue that there are millions of people all over the world that smoke cigarettes and have no health issues. They also bring up that there are people that do not smoke at all and suffer from these diseases. They even talk about their own years of smoking cigarettes, and how it has not affected their own health.

The Philip Morris executives does not oppose the habit of smoking cigarettes. They argue that there has not been enough thorough research, to be able to back up their information against cigarettes. They were even going against the doctor’s experience. They stated that they will not stop the production of cigarettes, or the sale of them. They expressed very strongly that cigarettes is not the number one cause of these unfortunate diseases. They compared the millions of people that are active smokers with no health issues, to the ones that have health issues, and even ones that have passed with the diagnosed health issues mentioned above. They stated that if their product was so harmful and dangerous, then why all active smokers do not have these health issues.
