Project Introduction

Under the background of economic globalization, Export has become a new economic growth point in many countries. Foreign trade business became the focus of many multinational companies and corporations.

International trade can be divided into two categories: trade in goods and trade in services. For a long time, trade in goods is the main part of the global trade even though the portion of services trade is growing rapidly.

When it comes to China, during the year of 2013, China has become the biggest country of the global trade in goods, this is a milestone in the development of China's foreign trade. Manufacturing is advanced in China and Chinese people also attach great importance to science and technology innovation. In this case, we cannot ignore an industry that is developing strongly but quietly. That is automobile industry in China.

Chery automobile has the most export quantity of cars for about 13 years in China. Based on its superior technology compared to other automobile industries in China and relatively lower price, Chery automobile accounted for forty percent in the total amount of car export in China.

This project will take Chery automobile as a representative example in order to explore the performance of Chinese indigenous automobile in the international market. I will first introduce the brand and the most representative car type of Chery automobile for export. Then I am going to analyze the product from marketing perspective. In the end, I am going to put forward some deficiencies in Chery’s development and expansion.
