Evaluation of Social Responsibility – Company Q

Any company that starts up has one main goal in mind: profits. To keep profits higher, Company Q has made a few changes, including closing two of their locations in impoverished neighborhoods. Why? Because the cost of operating those stores minimized their profits. Refusing to donate old food and offer reasonably priced healthy products are other issues that can determine this business’s success. Under the theory that social responsibility can help determine if a business is successful or fails, the attitude this company has ensures a great possibility of it failing.

The company refuses to donate day-old products to people in need because of fear of losing revenues and possible fraud. This is a clear indication that this company does not care for the well-being of its community over lining its pockets.
