Communication, combined with soft skills, is a paramount quality to any person given a task to complete within set time constraints in an effective and efficient way. When combined correctly, these two qualities will help the manager and the team to use all of their skills and tools to complete the assigned task by applying their complete work capability. Communication can pose quite a challenge in a virtual setting by presenting numerous constraints. In this visual setting, the manager and team must identify the specific challenges and difficult issues with the Harden, Harden and Harden (HHH) project for Mammoth. The key requirements are to engage in a seamless financial transaction system and to have very well established security practices to protect funds and business integrity.

The goal for this task is for Mammoth to supply HHH with financial data generated from its financial systems formatted in accordance with Mammoth requirements without HHH having to reformat every transaction. Since they currently have different security and transaction setups, they must figure out a way to streamline the process without compromising the financial security aspect of the process. Since the current set up is so time consuming, error prone and costly, both companies have decided to fund a project to save time and money.

Various communication challenges present themselves immediately since this virtual team will be working in three different time zones. The team has been identified to complete this task in nine months.
