African River Journeys, LLC is a travel agency that will be managed by Aidan, Rachel and Jon Reolfi. This company plans to give people the opportunity to experience Hippos in their natural habitat while also providing a fun filled and educational adventure. Furthermore, this journey will begin at the southern tip of Egypt, where currency exchanges will be made, and continue down the Nile River. The trips will last ten days, including travel time. Before planning these trips, there are many obstacles African River Journeys will have to take into consideration.

In addition to the articles of organization, trade name agreement and operating agreement African River Journeys must also consider insurance types, waivers forms taxes and licensing fees. To begin, African River Journeys must find adequate insurance to ensure the company from all liabilities. The types of insurance include life, travel, automobile and boat. Moreover, African River Journeys will also need to have their tourists sign a waiver stating that they are aware of the trip’s possible dangers and consequences. Such consequences include theft, sickness, injury and even death. Furthermore, African River Journeys will be taxed as a partnership. The partners will fill out the 1065 tax form. This means they will not pay federal taxes, instead income and losses are reported on individual returns. Contracts will need to drawn up between African River Journeys and an airline, as well as, a bus system, hotel chain and a boat company. Also, licensing fees totaling $250 will need to be paid before the business can officially begin.

Tourists will need to take personal responsibility for their travels as well. They will need both a passport and a visa to travel outside the United States.
