Final Project Proposal

For the final project in the course that is due in week nine, I have chosen to create a 12 month wall calendar. In addition to having an assignment that I can be proud of to turn in, my wife could get some use out of the calendar as well. She is always telling me that we need to buy a calendar, yet she is always having a hard time finding one that she likes. This will allow me the opportunity to not only complete the assignment, but come up with something completely unique and original.

I plan on using images that have been collected over the years of my family. I have several images that I have already used in this class that will be part of the project in addition to other photos. My mother passed away when I was just a child, and the only images I have of her and I together, were taken so long ago that the color is very bad. This will be the perfect opportunity for me to make enhancements and honor my mother in the process. My children have never met her, and this will be a way that they can see what she was like.

I currently have well over 24 images that I can use for the project; however, it is narrowing them down to the required number that I will have problems with. I plan to have my photos selected, and a general design laid out by the end of this week, so that I can start editing the images to fit the criteria required in the assignment. That will give me two entire weeks to focus on editing and altering the images to fit the necessary criteria for the final project.

I had already planned on using one image of my daughters and I from a previous assignment, and altering it so that they were both in color while I was still in black and white. I may also use a couple of drop shadows in my images, or in the text effects in order to cover one of the masks required. The other mask that is required may end up being an embossing...
