1.) How do we know each other? Would you say that we know each other well or are we just acquaintances?

We know each other through a few conversations at baseball, I consider you an acquaintance as we only speak at sports events.

2) In your own words what is your definition of happiness?

Happiness is different for everyone and I honestly believe it varies based upon everyone’s beliefs and morals. To “buy” or “be bought” happiness is nothing but that. My brothers definition of happiness (he is Autistic) is having the latest IPod or phone or game system… some say happiness lies in stability (in friendships, jobs, relationships etc.) but for me, no matter what you put in front of me, give me, or who walks in or out of my life, I was never completely “happy” until I accepted myself for who I was, what I stood for, and stood up for what I believed in. I had to learn how to accept all three of those separately and then gradually accept them as a whole because it makes me who I am (even if it doesn’t agree with others). Happiness starts within.

3) Has your definition of happiness changed over time?

My definition of happiness has been altered a little bit over the years. I’ve always wanted that “perfect stability” in my life and I used to think happiness was having the perfect family and solid friendships but I’ve learned that even with a defective family or friends that come and go, I am only happy when I am happy with myself, my actions, my choices and my own achievements.

4) Do you expect the definition to change again?

Life is full of changes and the world changes change day to day, minute to minute. Even with life changing, I honestly do not see a huge change in my definition happiness but possibly different ways to attain it or maintain it.
