Malaysia is a beautiful country offering exquisite treasure of beaches, ocean, and natural beauties. It’s a popular vacation destination for all occasions. Entire Malaysia is beautiful, yet there are several sites/places that can be regarded as the precious gems of the country and one of the most popular is Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the second largest city in Malaysia by population. The city proper, making up an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi), has a population of 1.4 million as of 2010. Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.2 million. It is the fastest growing metropolitan region in the country, in terms of population and economy.

Kuala Lumpur, often dubbed as “Garden City of Lights,” is one of the most valuable jewels of Malaysia. One of the most beautiful cities of the world, pretty popular among tourists, Kuala Lumpur is widely known for the finest shopping malls, skyscrapers, restaurants, nightlife, and the world's cheapest five-star hotels. Kuala Lumpur is also known for “the Golden Triangle,” the commercial hub of the city. Major Attractions of Kuala Lumpur include Petronas Twin Towers, Aquaria KLCC, Petrosains, KL Tower, Merdeka Square (Dataran Merdeka), Jamek Mosque (Masjid Jamek), Chan She Shu Yuen Clan Association, Sri Mahamariamman Temple,  National Monument (Tugu Negara), Muzium Negara (National Museum), Muzium Kesenian Islam (Islamic Arts Museum), Masjid Negara (National Mosque), The National Planetarium, Istana Negara (National Palace), and Batu Caves.

Kuala Lumpur is the seat of the Parliament of Malaysia. The city was once home to the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, but they have since moved to Putrajaya starting in 1999. Some sections of the judiciary remain in the capital.
