The case in point of research is how the effects of the humans’ actions on the environment of nonhuman beings should effect what we need to do; to change the harm to our environment. In many ways we are harming our environment just to save a little money. Also, many individuals see humans as the only species that we need to really worry about when thinking about the effects on our environment. Animals and plants seem to have very little meaning when it really comes down to it. Do we not need many animals for humans to exist on this earth? Many argue that species other than the human race do not have interests and do not feel pain.

Saying that other species do not feel any pain is a ridiculous way of looking at things. One point to look at would be that of a bird. Most only have one partner for life. If it were true that they did not feel pain, they would just move on when something happened to the other. Equal consideration needs to be given to all beings, when making changes that need to occur to save and make our environment a better and healthier place.

Villages are being abandoned and individuals from Mexico are abandoning at least four hundred square miles of farmland because of desertification each year. China in particular, has had at least 24,000 villages have had to be abandoned and millions of people have had to move to other cities or villages. Many villages are being abandoned when aquifers are depleted and the people who live there are...
