Man’s Best Friend

Have you ever heard the phrase “man’s best friend”? I was very skeptical about that certain phrase until I got my dog Dobby. However, little did I know that this small Chihuahua would change my view on the world. This dog was no average dog he was snow white, white eyelashes, and with the biggest ears I’ve ever seen. He had a black and white collar that matched him perfectly that I picked out for him, but one thing about this dog was that he was full of life with more happiness than I’ve seen in most people. I’ve only had this dog for about three months, but in that time period he became my best friend.

The day my world came crashing down was September 23, 2011. This day started as any other day I woke up to my morning routine at six to catch the bus at seven, but this particular day I was running abnormally late. The reason being I wasn’t able to get enough sleep due to my dog Dobby barking at a cat the night before. However, I took my shower, ate my breakfast, brushed my teeth, and got to the bus in what I thought was record time. As I sat in the bus I thought to myself, aw man I forgot one crucial thing I forgot to pet Dobby and give him a kiss goodbye, but then I thought, no way he kept me up last night. Meanwhile, as I was on the bus with my friends Rudy, Pedro, and my girlfriend Margarita they suggest getting a pizza and hanging out somewhere. I agree and the plan was set. As the day went on, school ended on a great note, fun, and the day was crystal clear. The sun was not too bright just right; it was an awesome day. When we were getting ready to depart we remembered that Glenn had a football game that day so we decided to go, but I had to call my mom to clarify if it was okay. Therefore, I called her and she gave me the okay to go and have fun.

So my friends and I headed to the game by foot, but that day suddenly got dark and gloomy. My initial reaction was “oop...
