Hello Tom,

I finally have completed my first assignment; I feel that the quality of my report to the best of my knowledge is true, accurate, fair, and diverse. This e-mail will provide you some feedback on how my political campaign report went.

As a journalist, I have gathered my information in hopes to provide viewers with information that may be of interest. By carrying out an interview via phone, researching creditable sites on the Internet, and simplify what I learned to create my report.

I faced multiple challenges in searching for a creditable source on the Internet. As you know, one can find any topic on the web with multifaceted opinions. Sites may be misleading, others can simply edit the information the page provides. I had to evaluate each site and determine if the information it provided is genuine. Although various sites have a long record of commendable stories, this does not exempt them from any possibility of bias, conflict of interests and misleading reports. No one is perfect and news outlets make mistakes.

I however found a site called the Drudge Report, which is “a conservative news, and commentary website.” This website contained numerous links to the latest stories around worldwide and I thought it to be constructive. The Daily Kos is a blog website that covers political analysis on the United States current events from a liberal perspective. I also stumbled upon a site called the Colbert Nation, which delivered comical news about political issues on the lighter side. Colbert Nation’s witty report was very entertaining and I thought it to be tremendously hilarious. Although the website was beneficial, and amusing it helped, shape my ideas in creating a good report.
