In Edgar V. Roberts interesting story it emphasizes Madame Loisel as an unsatisfied women that is not pleased with what she has. An ambitious woman who wanted more than just a couple of hundred francs, but expected the luxuries that her friend Mrs. Forrestier was surrounded with. Mrs. Loisel who was a pretty and charming women felt in debt after losing a beautiful diamond necklace that was borrowed from her friend Mrs.Forrestier. A debt that for years left her in the true poverty she would ever have encountered.

Madame Loisel who was married to a clerk at the Ministry of Education, a beauty of a woman who used to say she lived in poverty because she did not have the money to dress elegant like many rich people did or have the jewels to be high class. A woman who desired to be even more attractive with the most luxurious things that have ever existed. She imagined herself living in a palace with the most expensive features a rich home could really be adorned. She pictured herself in a pretty table with exquisite curves and made of good expensive wood. A table where she would be able to serve on some fine platters a nice fancy dinner, accompanied by her husband Mr. Loisel a husband that she didn’t love enough because she couldn’t fulfill her satisfaction dreams of being a women made of money.

On January the eighth, Mr. and Mrs. Loisel were invited by The Chancellor of Education and Mrs. George Ramponneau to a beautifying dinner at the Ministry of Education. A banquet were the filthy rich people that were so important would be attending. When Mr. Loisel got home to his gorgeous wife and gave the invitation to her, as she read thru it her expression on her face was breath taking. A reaction he would have never ever imagined she would have acquired. Instead of her being thrilled to be attending such a fashion dinner she crazed at her husband for not having the proper outfit or birthstones to outstand the people that she will be surrounded by.
