In today's business world there are many different tools and techniques that are available to companies that will help them create a strong strategic plan. These tools will give them a roadmap to use along with the company's vision and mission statement. Each tool is designed to help the company measure their goals in reference to what the company wants to achieve in a set time frame. The use of these strategic objectives that have comparable characteristics, can launch a business to new heights by helping them reach their mission statement.

Every company that wants to be and stay successful. Any company that want to grow in the industry they are in will have planning sessions that deal with any strategic goals the company has in place. This is where the concept of the strategic plan comes into play.

A company must understand the importance of Strategic Planning if they want to survive. The first question a company has to ask and answer is "What do we want to achieve as a company and how are we going to get there." This is the most important issue for a company. This is where strategic planning begins to shape the company. In the following paper the strategic plan of Rich's Auto Repair Shop will be discussed in regards to strategies and tactics that will be implemented to help the shop reach their strategic objectives, measures, and targets.
