According to Riddal, behavior is a complex concept and has different interpretation to different people. This refer to the behavior is just as much about how we act in certain social situations, and do in particular situation, for example expressing thank. Behavior consists of the ways we present and act that can influence or might have an impact on another person. It affects almost every aspect of our lives in our daily life and can be influenced by many perceptions, such as where we are, whom we are with and our understanding of the situation.

I agree with the statement which “the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior” because past experience very useful for people life. Chalmers (1987) supposed that the developmental process will be influenced by the current or past behavior, i.e. that behavior is not simply the by-product of physical development, but the feedback from existing behavior that is crucial for understanding behavioral development. For example, a good interviewer knows that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. They will be asking you questions aimed at finding out what you have done in past job situations (Verity, 2004).

Past behavior and experience will be a lesson for the future. For example, I made a mistake in the workplace; I would get punishment from employers. This will be vigilance to me, so that I would not make the same mistake again. This will allow me to improve my performance, but also can learn from the mistake. This determines that the past behavior will affect the future behavior.

Besides that, good or bad past behavior will affect the future behavior. For instance, an individual who is conscientious and knows his job, identically the individual will be more conscientious for his working attitude in the future.
