Cloud computing is quite a new buzz in the World Wide Web much like what was Web 2.0 a few years ago. This latest technology is again another step that is going to make life and work easier. Though its definition spread across a huge concept, basically it is a hosting process where cloud servers and companies provide web-based software service platforms to organizations and individuals who can share, store and create information. These do not require software and application suites to be installed on every computer but through the internet, it creates a network of users and link together in a server. These remote servers can store from small applications to large and complicated data formulation software and depending on the clients requirement, it provides the service. It is of three types: Platform-as-a-service, Infrastructure-as-a-service and Software-as-a-service.

It is not new software that you have to learn to work on it as once you load the web- based application to log into the server; you will see the same applications you used for your work. The web- based application here is the interface through which you will gain access to the cloud. It is given by the provider and the service depends on how much you need to use, till what time and is a paid service on minutes or hourly basis. Organizations usually use this service from the private cloud providers who offer only for select people while providers that host public cloud offer this service to anyone interested. Some can also create a virtual private cloud by creating it from the public cloud. The main objective of these clouds, at the end of the day is to provide easy accessibility to a large pool of resources from any computer at any time as long as there is internet connectivity.
