THE GREEN CHASERS

INTRODUCTION

• People whom are into some aspects of the fashion industry,

have to consider how their actions impacts fashion’s

ecological foot prints.

• The environment is impacted by the growing of fibers for

textiles, the manufacture and distribution of clothing, and

even the care and maintenance of garments.

• When it comes to kids wear industry, children out grow

their cloths easily hence new offerings have to be cost

effective and sustainable.

• The world is looking towards global / environmental issues

such as “sustainability” and “green living” in which India is

lagging behind the other countries.

SIGNIFICANCE

• The project examines the benefits of eco -friendly kid’s

garments; to the parents, industry, kids and to the mother

earth.

• It teaches kids the importance of healthy environment and

how it is related to their personal and future well -being.

• It provides 100% safe and quality products for kids which

are eagerly expected by today’s young parents.

• As India has the first position in growing organic cotton,

buying and being organic will help the monetary

development of India

THE TREND

DESIGN DIRECTION

• As per the secondary and primary research, there is a space

for eco-friendly/ sustainable kids wear in India.

• So the kids are now ready to transform the world to more

greenish, more beautiful, healthier and sustainable.

• The idea is to develop print/ embroidery designs which

make kids understand the importance of sustainability in a

simple way.

• The garments are designed according to the trend research

for the season A/W 2010 -11. Colors, silhouettes, graphics,

detailing, textures and fabrics are also decided up on the

surveys and observations done.

There is more to eye, one can be a change catalyst, a “transformer” in any

situations, such an individual is yeast that can leaven an entire loaf. It
