Cisco Safe Architecture Explanation

CISCO Safe architecture prevents most attacks from successfully affecting valuable network resources. SAFE take a defense in depth approach in which multiple layers of protection are strategically located throughout the network. The modules allow the security to analyzed by a case by case basis. The modules that afford an organization the foremost protection in evolving technologies and media include the internet edge, e-commerce, extranet, teleworker and the branch module. .

CISCO SAFE architecture not a revolutionary way of designing networks, but merely a blueprint for making networks secure. The blueprint is a document that simply proves the security practices that provide the design guidelines for building secure and reliable network infrastructure. When a company chooses to use this architecture by itself, it can have various limitations associated with it. The Implemented architecture should be use in conjunction with a security plan that illustrates how an organization is plans to meet its security requirements.
