Apple is a huge part of our generation from the IPOD to the MAC computer. With their innovative marketing approaches they have cornered a large percentage of the market. With a site to the future they are always looking to upgrade their products and services to meet the constant consumer demand. Apple uses mass marketing to target its wide audience. They have many subcultures within their marketing demographic. When you initially visit their site you would think they primarily sell to teenagers which in my opinion is the main audience based on the initial layout of their website. As you delve further you see additional marketing geared toward home, exercise, and the educational aspect of their products. The layout of their site is user friendly and provides additional information regarding best uses for their products and service. In addition, they offer great tips on compatible accessories depending on your use of their product.

To look at this further you see three key target audiences they focus on in their web advertising on their site specifically. The first target market I found was the avid exerciser. With the new technology they have come up with you can pair a specific brand of Nike shoe with your IPOD that allows you to track your performance. This is a great tool for those of us who want to take our exercise outside and still be able to track our performance. You can use it during the day as a pedometer to track your steps, you can set up an exercise program, or simply let it tell your distance pace or calories burned. They hit my part of the target audience easily with this approach.
