When reviewing the overall needs for the Bead Bar, it shows the needs that the company would need to have established to better the business. I will show throughout this analysis of what systems should be used and how these systems will impact the company financially.
I will also show how the systems that I chose for the Bead Bar will enable them to be able to stay connected with their studios, maintain inventory, and still be able to communicate to headquarters for budget management.
The Bead Bar prior to seeking out assistance for upgrading and improving their company's technology, the Bead Bar used paper-based methods for their processing orders and inventory. Currently the Bead Bar does not have any network system in place and therefore all the work is being completed by paper forms, which can create errors.
Installing a network system for the Bead Bar would help the business run smoother. First it would help eliminate the errors in processing and entering data or financial information. Secondly, it would provide an outlet for those employees that would need to telecommute or travel to other studios. Thirdly, it would make keeping the inventory easier and more efficient, so that the studios and franchises do not run out of supplies.
As for one recommendation for the Bead Bar, I would recommend them using an Enterprise-wide database.� The Enterprise-wide database would be appropriate for this organization because of the multiple locations and store amounts.� For this particular Bead Bar, they should use the distribution database system.� It is faster then centralized and if one server goes down the whole system will not shut down.�
