Positive psychology is related to how people react and their ability to be positive in situations. It focuses on how to make changes in our lives in a positive way to help our family, friends, and others around us 

The main theme and strategy of positive psychology in my opinion relates to human behavior, freedom, limits, and our initiative and values. Positive psychology is aimed to build the human strength and to be able to understand it. People are curious about good and bad behaviors and wonder how much control we have over them. Positive psychologists assume that people can choose, change, and control the direction their life is heading.  

The central themes and strategies of human freedom is how we value our freedom. Not letting others “control” us or hold us back from having our own freedom. Choice, change, and control are the three factors that affect our freedom and also our decision making is important to keep our well-being and achievement. Human nature can affect motivation and responsibility. Entity theorists see traits as fixed. Whereas incremental theorists believe they can be modified. People vary in their sense of personal control, Axia 2009. 

People who have in internal locus of control believe they can determine their own destiny whereas people with an external locus believe their destiny is controlled. The people with internal locus of control tend to advance and have better grades in school. They are more independent and have a better sense of well being.  

The central themes and strategies of human limits is having too many choices which can be restricting. Identifying the biological and environmental areas of behavior defines our limits and gives us the direction for successful change and control, Axia 2009. 

The central themes and strategies of initiative and human values is that personal growth is more than just having our freedom and using it. The right choices and changes along with the appropriate control are all key...
