Describing an organizational change that your organization is likely to make (e.g., new structure, new process, downsizing, etc.).

In the world of shipbuilding, there are many factors that make an organization of this type successful, and also many that have caused failures. This is type of industry that is never on a constant plane, and has been ever-changing for many years. Trends in this industry are hard to follow long term, so often short term trends help in future planning. The organization that will be discussed in this paper is a network of three shipyards that focus on building the most complex military warships in the world.

Sea power superiority in the United States is highly regarded and needed to defend national and worldwide peace. Most of the earth is covered in water and without the products this organization produces, this would be impossible. The company name will be omitted for security reasons. This organization is likely to have many changes in the near future because of changes in defense spending within the United States. The company will preserver through the changes though because of over 100 years’ experience in the industry.

Because of the longevity of this organization, a completely new business structure is highly unlikely.

Identifying the key stakeholders involved and the impact the change would have on them.

Describing the change management approach and recommended action steps you would advise for minimizing adverse impact on the organization and its people.
