Poor Corporate Communication Strategies
The lack of a social media strategy in today’s workplace can cause many businesses to miss out on opportunities to gain a competitive advantage. Many companies small and large do not see the advantage in investing time and human resources into social media. This proposal will provide solutions to the barriers companies are facing to implement a successful social media strategy. This proposal will indicate the benefits to an organization and recommend business and technological approaches that can be used to implement a successful social media strategy.
Many can attest to a break in communication from top-level management. Poor corporate communications exists in many businesses throughout the world. Confusing language, changing terminology, and hollow verbiage in a rigid detached style can be a cause of unclear communication in organizations today. There are many factors that cause communication breakdown. Lack of ownership, inconsistency, and redundant information are other drawbacks that lead to a confusing message.
Employees, subordinates, and supervisors rely on information and feedback to establish collaboration. Investors and even the media rely on accurate concise information in real time from consumers and stakeholders. Beneficial messages dealing with issues and corporate successes should be communicated in a way that is simple and succinct.
