Caveman

I found the packet on the caveman studies very interesting. I loved how it portrayed men and sort of showed how they evolved throughout time. I agreed with almost everything that it is discussed in the packet. I just find it interesting how they compare humans today to cavemen from the past.

The packet discussed that how people think is determined by whether they are male or female. It says that cavemen do not think, they just do what they need to do to survive. They are single minded and focus on getting food to survive. They are portrayed as the hunter. They have a mate for sex and to care for the house. This has been seen throughout time by males. They are portrayed as the leader and main provider for the household, while women are looked at as caretakers. I think in today’s society we are moving away from this way of life. Women in today’s society are treated nearly equal as men. They have just as hard of jobs as the males. They do not stay home and take care of the household. They go to work just like the male. Men do not just sit there in silence. Men do however like to be as vague as possible and avoid certain situations. Women in today’s society would not put up with their partner just ignoring what they have to say. Women in today’s society are more bold and confrontational.

Another key point discussed in the packet was the fact that marriage rates are declining, and...
