Prejudice in the world

In the world today, there are so many prejudices towards nearly everything. People prejudge without knowledge of someone, something, or some situation. There has been prejudice since close to the beginning of mankind. I am focusing on the problem of prejudice against race, sex, and species. Where does prejudice come from and why do people feel the need to judge others the way they do?

Prejudice can be found everywhere in the world. There are prejudices against the car someone drives, the clothes someone wears, the church someone attends, between religious beliefs, and the obvious ones such as race, sex, height, and the list goes on. Prejudice defined is a preconceived judgment or opinion, an adverse opinion or learning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge, an instance of such judgment or opinion, an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.

There are traces of prejudice from the beginning in the time of Adam and Eve, but where does prejudice come from? Could prejudice be something that God created and has been exaggerated since the beginning?

Let's take a look at the creation story to get a clue as to what God has to do with prejudice:

Genesis 1:26 through Genesis 1:31 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
