1) What was important to coach carter

- He cared about his sons education at the beginning when damian wanted to play for Richmond basket-ball team, but he cared about his education and securing his spot in college.

* That everyone respected his contract, at the beginning when he had set of rules that everyone had to follow

* The boys all stayed in school and studied hard

* Not being late to practice was so important especially at the beginning when people just came late for fun, and the whole group had to do suicides and push ups.

* Importances of winning but at the same time show some class during the game, and not act like punks.

* Get the boys to college to get a better life.

2) Coach Carter’s values

Never gave up

Equality, he respected everyone not using a specific derogatory word because it was offensive.

Respect amongst each other – when at the beginning of the movie when he stressed the importance of ‘sir’.

-not only teach the team about basket ball but teach them life skills. From wearing ties and suits to acting disciplined to keeping up in school.

3) Coach Carter’s significant leadership decisions

- Stating that they are students first than basket ball, during the meeting about obtaining a 2.3 average.

- Accepting cruz into his team.

- Coach carter’s taking initiative to get the boys to start studying and passing all their classes, when he locked the gym court and preceded them into the library.

- cancelling the game because of the teams failure to keep up in school. Coach carter only did so to help out the team and this was one of his biggest leadership decision so far.

4) How players and the entire team were transformed

- When they played there opponents, you could tell there was hope at the beginning when everyone started believing in each other and supported one another for that win.

- When Cruz was short on his pushups and his suicides the whole team came together to help him out...
