Software Requirement Specification (SRS) for

GAFFCO Information System

1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose

The software entitled GAFFCO Information System is intended for improving the services and be beneficial to the operation department and customers of GAFFCO. By understanding the needs of the customer and quality of service, the business will be assured of a competitive advantage.

1.2 Scope

In Scope:

a. The registration privilege for operators will be for the system administrator only to avoid unauthorized persons to join and gather data in the site.

b. The system administrator is the only one allowed to add, edit, delete and restore of transactions.

c. The operator can add and edit transactions.

Out Scope:

a. The system cannot be access by unauthorized person who wants to gather information due to privacy issues.

b. The system’s username and password cannot be given to other people due to company policy.

1.3 Definitions, Acronyms, and Abbreviation

GAFFCO Information System – a system created for improving the services and be beneficial to the operation department and customers of GAFFCO.

System Administrator – the main person that maintain the information system

Data – the term used for items stored in a computer system

Operators – the person who manage the daily normal operations

Transactions – providing an "all-or-nothing" proposition, stating that each work-unit performed in a database must either complete in its entirety or have no effect whatsoever. Further, the system must isolate each transaction from other transactions, results must conform to existing constraints in the database, and transactions that complete successfully must get written to durable storage.
