1.1 Introduction of Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages can be defined as any potable, or drinkable, liquids containing ethyl alcohol which known as ethanol. Basically, there are three general of these products which are wines, beers and distilled spirits and liqueurs. The amount of alcohol that each type contains is all different. For example, beers may contain as little as 2 or 5 percent. Wines typically have 10%–14%’s alcohol (most often 12.5%–14.5%). Also, distilled spirits are the highest in alcoholic content. Most spirits still are found in the 20 to 45 percent range, with many examples containing up to 50 percent. Then the amount of alcohol contain in liqueurs is 17%-20%.

According to the federal government’s definition in “Wine and Beverage Standards” of alcoholic beverages, the alcoholic content can range all the way from 0.5 percent to 95 percent.
